Going 'Green' is Good for your Eyes!

    Friday, November 2, 2007, 10:46 AM [General]

Going "Green" is Good for Your Eyes as Well as the Environment

Green eye makeup may sound like some scary Halloween trick, but trust me; green is a treat for any eye color. As a brown eyed girl, I am particularly partial to green around my eyes as it really bring out the deep brown shade in a beautiful way. These liners, eye shadows, and mascaras will help you go green in a whole new way!

This talking - yes, you read correctly - eye palette verbally tells you how to apply the shadow to achieve the coveted smoky eye; It will make you into your own mini makeup artist in the blink of an eye! The colors are a fun, unique take on the smoky eye look and will have you standing out in a crowd of black or gray smoky-eyed gals.

A gray-green shade with long lasting power to get you through any day and or evening, in style. Use this to line your outer top lid and extend it past your lashes to create a cool twist on the current cat eye look.

Extend and lengthen your lashes with this smudge proof, long wearing mascara. Ivy green looks great on any eye color and is enhanced against shadow colors like purple and sheer blue or pink. You'll be surprised at the statement colored mascara can make.

If you usually stay with more neutral eye makeup colors, then try some sheer green shadows or just apply a green eye pencil on either your top or bottom lid, not both. Green eye makeup can be muted or in your face; it's all in how you apply it and which shades you choose. Going green can be beneficial in so many ways, including perking up your fall makeup palette!

    These Products Deserve a Hand!

    Monday, October 22, 2007, 10:34 AM [General]

I've Gotta "Hand" it to these Fabulous Hand and Nail Products

Your hands and nails really do add to the overall impression you make on the world each day. I find that constant application of hand cream (I keep it by my computer so I can apply it while I am writing all day) and a healthy dose of cuticle care before bed really go a long way toward keeping my hands and nails looking attractive. With the arrival of fall and the eminent onset of winter temps, hand and nail care becomes all the more important as parched skin and ragged cuticles can easily add years to the look of your hands. I'm getting great results with these products and want to share them with all my diva pals!

Poshe Potion of Youth and Poshe AHA Cuticle Care

Poshe Potion of Youth is a hand and nail cream with retinol, pomegranate, and other natural humectants to help maintain soft, beautiful hands. It also contains shea butter to address those dreaded age spots! It doesn't feel greasy so I can rub a bit in and go right back to typing away on my keyboard without worrying about touching greasy keys later. This cream is a winter savior for your hands.

Cuticles can be an issue any time of year, but colder weather and drying indoor heat can really exasperate the problem of ragged, dry cuticles that can crack and even bleed. Poshe AHA Cuticle Care exfoliates and hydrates cuticles with a blend of alpha hydroxy acids and botanicals. Prevent painful hangnails with twice daily use of this fast absorbing cuticle cream that will transform your problem cuticles into well behaved ones in no time. I love that Poshe products are not tested on animals and contain no formaldehyde or toluene.

    Appearex

Do you have weak, brittle nails that are crying out for love and attention, but nothing you've tried seems to have any affect on their poor condition? Appearex is a small, easy to swallow tablet containing biotin, a member of the B-complex family of vitamins. You may have heard the recent buzz about biotin for nail and hair growth, as it's gotten lots of press in the beauty world. If you experience consistent peeling, splitting or brittleness with your nails, I strongly suggest taking Appearex. Most people see results in three to six months of taking the once daily tablet, but some experience improvement in as little as one month. Click here to download coupons!

Care of your hands and nails is very rewarding, as you and others often look at your hands; and when they look exceptional, you walk a little taller. An investment of time and money into your hands and nails is a very wise one that will give you much in return. Let me know about hand and nail products that work for you!

Products "Eye" Love & So Will You!

    Thursday, October 18, 2007, 10:34 AM [General]

It's certainly true that the eyes have it when it comes to showing off your beautiful face. Both natural and super sultry eye looks are fabulous in the fall and winter weather, so play up your peepers with shadow and mascara, and don't forget to pay special attention to moisturizing the under eye area. Check out some of these great eye products for the upcoming colder seasons:

    Skin Alison Raffaele Soft Shadow

I am completely hooked on Skin Alison Raffaele's True Concealer and now I can add their Soft Shadow to my ‘must have' list. These shadows sweep on to your lids like a dream and can be used wet or dry. Two of my fave colors are the Warm Grey and the Butter. For a soft, natural look, use Butter (dry) on your lids. Then, using a wet eyeliner brush, apply the Warm Grey really close to your top and bottom eye lashes. I sometimes use a bit of grey or brown pencil eyeliner, and then apply the wet Warm Grey on top. Skin Alison Raffaele Soft Shadow will perk up your fall and winter look with many fab colors to choose from.

    Clinique High Impact Mascara

Available in black/brown or just classic black, be ready for all eyes to be on your eyes when you use the Clinique High Impact Mascara. Now I know you've heard it all when it comes to mascara promises - "looks like false eye lashes, makes even skimpy lashes look lush" ....blah, blah, blah. But Clinique's High Impact formula truly does plump up my lashes and looks great with or without shadow and/or liner. Try this with the trendy cat eyeliner look for eyes that will be the talk of the town!

    HTY Eye Gold

The newest addition to the HTY Gold family is this superior eye cream made with unique creamed oils that are easily absorbed by the skin. Fine lines, crows feet, dark circles and the dreaded under-eye puffiness are no match for HTY Eye Gold. In the colder months when heat is running indoors it is especially important to moisturize the delicate skin around the eyes. HTY Eye Gold is a natural product containing no animal byproducts. The company does not test on animals and offers a 30-day money back guarantee.

Your eyes are the window to your soul so invest in some pretty window dressing to showcase them! Let me know about your experience with any of these products and please do share any eye makeup tips and tricks that work for you!
